KAGEN ANNOUNCES NEW JOBS FOR WAUPACA

Community Loan will allow for expansion, construction of new child care center

WASHINGTON, DC- Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. today announced that Sunny Day Child Care and Preschool in Waupaca has received a guaranteed loan that will allow them to expand their operation and create nine new jobs.  The expansion entails building a new center which is expected to also benefit the local construction industry.

“It’s another great day in Waupaca!” declared Kagen.  “Not only are new jobs and construction work coming to the area, but our children will have an even better environment to learn and grow in.

“This is a welcome investment in the future of Northeast Wisconsin.”

Sunny Day Child Care and Preschool is receiving a Community Facility Guaranteed Loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  The funds will be used to move the existing center from the United Methodist Church in Waupaca into a soon to be built 11,306 square foot facility in the Waupaca Business and Technology Park

The new facility will allow Sunny Day Child Care and Preschool, currently licensed for 64 children, to be licensed for 128 children, and the expansion will create nine new jobs.
