Listen to Congressman Kagen’s Tele-Town Hall Meeting from June 11, 2008
On June 11, 2008, Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. responded to questions from his constituents on pressing problems such as skyrocketing prices for gas and prescription drugs and a host of other issues, as over 6,000 people from Northern Wisconsin took part last night in a Tele-Town Hall. Residents of Shawano, Waupaca, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto, Menominee, Vilas, Florence, Forest and Marinette counties and parts of Calumet, Langlade and Oneida counties were able to ask questions and listen to Congressman Kagen’s answers from the comfort of their own homes during the hour-long call. The Congressman took questions from 20 participants on issues ranging from China’s unfair – and perhaps illegal – trade policies, the prospects for developing alternative energy, the recently-passed Farm Bill to reducing our national debt and restoring fiscal responsibility to government spending. Below are some sound clips from Tele-Town Hall. Click on them to listen.
