KAGEN APPLAUDS CRITICAL STEP FORWARD FOR VETERANS CLINIC
Request for contract bids moves
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. is proud to announce yet another step toward giving veterans in Brown County the health care benefits they have earned closer to home. Starting today, the Department of Veterans Affairs has begun accepting offers to construct the new Milo C. Huempfner Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
“I am pleased to see the VA has moved another step closer to securing the care our veterans have earned close to home,” said Dr. Kagen. “The Milo C. Huempfner clinic will deliver the necessary care our brave veterans have earned and will generate the higher-wage jobs we need. I will continue to work hard to guarantee our new VA outpatient hospital opens its doors.”
The Department of Veterans Affairs posted the request for offers earlier today and the deadline to express interest is April 27, 2010.
