KAGEN  WELCOMES  U.S.  NAVY  SECRETARY  TO  MARINETTE

(WASHINGTON, DC)  Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. is pleased to welcome Secretary of the U.S. Navy Ray Mabus to Marinette, WI today.  Kagen met with Secretary Mabus yesterday in Washington and they discussed the great work being done by Marinette Marine.

“The Navy has long recognized that Marinette Marine builds great ships.  I am glad to see that Secretary Mabus took my advice and visited Marinette to see for himself.  The Secretary and I spoke yesterday about the ongoing partnership between Marinette Marine and the U.S. Navy.  I am working hard to make sure that continues,” said Kagen.

Congressman Kagen was in Marinette this past weekend for a keel-laying ceremony for Fort Worth, the Navy’s third Littoral Combat Ship which is being built by Marinette Marine.
