Health Care

As a physician, I see this crisis everyday.  For many of my patients, it’s either skip a pill or skip a meal.  We do not need socialized medicine, nor do we need more government control of our personal health.  I believe we can guarantee access to affordable care for every citizen by enacting these essential elements within a single piece of legislation: (1) No discrimination against any citizen due to a pre-existing medical condition; (2) Open disclosure of all prices; (3) Securing the same discounts for all citizens, so we all pay the same price for the same service or product; and (4) Create the largest risk pools possible to leverage down prices for insurance coverage and prescription drugs.

We must also establish a standard health insurance policy, one that covers you from head-to-toe with no discrimination due to pre-existing conditions.  And when we do, we must make certain that health insurance companies offer this identical basic policy to all citizens within regional communities (metropolitan statistical areas) at the same openly disclosed price.

Together, we will enact legislation securing guaranteed access to affordable care for every citizen everywhere in these United States, with no patient left behind.
